Zones: In Mexico, the savannahs are distributed on the slope of the Pacific Ocean, from Sinaloa to Chiapas, and on the slope of the Gulf of Mexico, from Veracruz to the Yucatan Peninsula.
Carnivores:
THE LION: The lion is a carnivorous mammal of the Felidae family and one of the five species of the Panthera genus.
The function of the lions in the savannah is to protect the pride. It also hunts, especially large prey, as it has great power and is very fast. The lion feeds on large mammals.
The Leopard: The leopard is a carnivorous mammal of the Felidae family. Like three of the other felids of the Panthera genus: the lion, the tiger and the jaguar, they are characterized by a modification in the hyoid bone that allows them to roar.
They are especially in those places where there are prey to hunt, water, a large territory, and places to hide.
Leopards will spit at their opponent as a method of attack.
Hervibores:
